Fumirul

Fumirul (フミルィル) is one of the main characters in Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth.

Personality[]

Benevolent woman from Tuskur known for her radiant beauty and generous bosom. She serves Kuon, and understands her well. To Kuon, she is something like a childhood friend, being very close in age. She is however a bit of an airhead, having nearly given away Kuon's identity as Princess of Tuskur many times and the fact that she is naked every time her sash around her dress falls off, which she does not notice. Ururuu & Saraana have described her as a very dangerous woman due to these clumsy traits.

Utawarerumono[]

Fumirul was first shown as an orphan baby under Ulthury's motherly care. When her parents were found, Ulthury resented giving her away and nearly had a fight with Karulau before hearing Fumirul's crying. Ulthury, much to her sadness, gave the baby away to her real parents.

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth[]

Fumirul is first shown in the beginning, taking care of a sick Kuon back in Tuskur. She is also shown to have ownership over Munechika during the Pillar General's days as a prisoner of war.

During the battle for Rumoy Pass, she appeared before Oshtor and friends alongside Munechika, and begins accompanying the group as Kuon's friend. She has a very gentle personality, and there is an ethereal grace to her. Her attractive figure tends to draw the attention of men, though she remains oblivious... which often leads to chaos erupting in her wake. She is very caring, and on most days, she can be found accompanying Shinonon.

On the battlefield she uses powerful spells and shikigami, and contributes in many ways by hindering her enemies or healing her allies. This is in part due to the talents she was born with, as well as her studies under Ulthury's tutelage.

Once the chaos in Yamato had been resolved, and peace was established between Yamato and Tuskur, she took up a new political role as Tuskur's goodwill ambassador to other nations.

Kuon -

Ulthury - As a baby, Fumirul was under Ulthury's motherly care for a long time before she was given back to her real parents. Ulthury resisted at first, having grown so close to Fumirul, before she reluctantly consented. Years later, a grown up Fumirul seems to have remembered Ulthury taking care of her and develops a close relationship like a daughter to her mother.

Oshtor/Haku -

Munechika - Munechika, during her time as a prisoner of war in Tuskur, served in Fumirul's service on the latter's way to Ennakamuy. They grew close in that time before Fumirul allowed Munechika to return as Anju's governess. Fumirul even held on to Munechika's Akuruka mask before handing it back to her during Woshis' crisis in Yamato.

Abilities & Powers[]

Femme Fatale - She possess a rare ability that able to charm nearby people just by her presence. Due to her pure and caring nature, the ability has been enhanced to even charmed a monster. Fumirul however is unaware or know to proper control of this ability.

Trivia[]

Fumirul is named after a beautiful flower found throughout Tuskur. It blooms at night, and glows faintly in moonlight. Apart from its natural places in the wild, it can also be found planted by roads. The people fondly know the flower as a guide for weary travelers.
