Nekone (ネコネ) Is Oshtor's younger sister and the youngest candidate ever to pass the difficult court exam. She is immensely talented, enough so that she was qualified to earn a profession in philosophy at such a young age that her actual assumption of any such position had to be put on hold.

Nekone is a young girl wearing a female scholar uniform.
Personality[]
Having grown up without anyone to call friends, Nekone demonstrates a bossy attitude at first. However, she is still just a very young girl who is very attached to her brother. She eventually starts to warm up to her brother's new companions, especially towards Kuon, who she calls a sister thanks to their shared interest in Onvitaikayan culture. She initially considered people to be selfish and that making friends with them will end up getting hurt. Her interactions with Haku are what eventually changed her outlook on the idea.

Oshtor - Her older brother that she often bossed over despite having no visible effects on him. She cared deeply for him, over to the point of obsession as she worries so much for him, and was at a loss when she witnessed his passing first hand considering that her interference in his battle with Vurai costed him his life.
Haku - Nekone did not like Haku at first and could not comprehend why her brother would be interested in someone like him but as she began to understand more about him, she started to warm up to him. He became her only emotional support ever since he took up her brother's identity after Oshtor's death. Over time they grow even closer to the point where Nekone considers him her real brother and saying Haku IS her dear brother that she loves so much and wishes to stay with, that it had nothing to do with him playing the role of Oshtor.
Kuon - Nekone thought of Kuon as unfathomable but eventually grew close to her, calling her sister. Following the events of Mask of Deception she grows incredibly guilty for ''taking Haku away from her'' (Replacing Haku's identity with that of Oshtor). She eventually lets it out and begs Kuon for forgiveness, crying in her chest.
Mikazuchi - Nekone gets scared and angry at Mikazuchi whenever he's around, despite the kindness he shows her. It's shown that her brother and Mikazuchi had always competed with one another.
Trivia[]
- In the epilogue of Mask of Truth, she finally managed to gain the title of scholar but she stayed in Ennakamuy because she wanted to help her homeland as many refugees came fleeing from the destroyed capital of Yamato and from the long winter.
- She has a habit of saying "-nanodesu" at the end of each sentence.
- In Dead or Alive 5 Last Round DLC, Marie Rose dressed as Nekone.
